Go Visit Lake Powell - Page, Arizona

Last month we had the opportunity to spend several days in Page, Arizona to enjoy the beautiful area surrounding Lake Powell. Aramark hosted an amazing retreat for 8 social media influencers and we got to join in on the fun as a sponsor! We decked out everyone in Senita gear and enjoyed beautiful sights, good food, and fun activities. Lake Powell is most popular for its summer months when the lake is full of house boats, speed boats, and everyone having fun in the sun. Going in October was a special treat because it wasn’t very crowded and we got to do some of the activities we’ve never done before. Here’s a recap of the adventures from our trip.

Day 1: Glen Canyon Float Trip & Horseshoe Bend

Our half day (4-5 hour) float trip down Glen Canyon (Colorado River) with Wilderness Adventures was absolutely breathtaking and our tour guide made it incredibly entertaining. Every turn we took down the river brought a new picturesque view that left use in awe. We ate lunch while we were on the boat and enjoyed a little musical number by our tour guide Mick. We floated around Horseshoe Bend, saw petroglyphs, and Lee’s Ferry.

That evening we went to Horseshoe Bend and watched the sunset. THIS IS A MUST SEE WHEN IN PAGE. If you are afraid of heights, this will get your blood pumping - just saying.

Day 2: Boat Ride to Rainbow Bridge

We all jumped on a nice boat and rode to Rainbow Bridge - one of the world’s largest natural bridges. I loved learning from the park ranger about the cultural significance of Rainbow Bridge to the surrounding Native American tribes. This was on Navajo Land and the hike to bridge and around it was absolutely beautiful (about a 2 mile hike roundtrip).

After our boat trip we got to tour one of the new houseboats that is rented out on Lake Powell. This really made us anxious to plan our next trip out there and get in some fun water activities on the lake.

Day 3: Sunrise Yoga and Antelope Canyon

We woke up early and enjoyed a yoga session from Tara Laferera overlooking the lake. We found a grassy area at the Lake Powell Resort and enjoyed a relaxing morning. We enjoyed staying at the Lodge because of all the great amenities: pool, hot tub, restaurants, easy access to marinas, etc.

After breakfast at the Rainbow Room at the Lake Powell Resort, we went on a tour to Antelope Canyon. Reservations are required to tour Antelope Canyon. The tour inside the slot canyons are pretty quick, and a little crowded, but you are still able to get some amazing photos and see the beautiful formations.
