So much cuter than just wearing a size up in a regular bathing suit. Comfortable, supportive, and shows off the bump!
After numerous maternity swimsuit fails I tried out the tankini. I was nervous for a tankini in case my belly would pop out at all, and not wanting an uncomfortable band across my belly, as well as an eternal struggle to fit my chest into anything without being baggy elsewhere. The tankini was perfect! I was able to size up to a Medium on the top due to my very large chest size (32GG), and order a size Small in the bottoms (prepregnancy size 2-4). The chest portion of the tankini is as supportive as can expected with a chest my size. I did take the cups out because it was way too tight with them in. The straight across cut was perfect so that there isn’t any side boob or inappropriate cleavage scenarios. The belly portion of the tankini was absolutely perfect. The material is very thick and high quality, there is a ton of stretch so that the belly fit perfectly at 27 weeks and I expect it will continue to fit well at 32 when I need it again. The top is nice and long with a ton of overlap with the bottoms, so no concern of belly peeking through. All in all, a fantastic suit for maternity women, especially those with large chests struggling to find anything to fit.
I think I should have just gotten a regular bikini top. I'm not a fan of the tankini. But the fit is actually great. And it's cute. Just not my favorite.
